The CI Mid is a modern classic design resulting from a fun collaboration with Devon Howard, a southern California surfer that has spent the past two decades riding and refining egg-inspired designs that are in a category of boards many refer to as midlengths. A few years later, Channel Islands brings us the Twin Fin version of one of the best selling boards world wide. The CI MID TWIN is born.

While the original CI Mid was designed with a 2 plus 1 fin set-up in mind, Devon worked with the Channel Islands team once again by helping update their most popular “midlength” turning it into a "must have" twin fin for everyones quiver.
Keeping in mind that the initial set up for the CI MID was a 2 + 1 side bite placement that usually sits a bit more forward than it does in twins, the team invested a lot of time in research and tests to find the perfect fin placement and angle on the CI MID TWIN.
The result? Well... An amazing all round twin fin designed to glide, turn, trim and connect with the wave. Once again, hard work pays off.

Having little rocker through out the bottom and with just the right amount of rocker at the front part of the board it offers great down the line speed that comes in handy when you need to pass quick sections. These features also ad some spicier, snappier and responsive turns in the pocket.
The detailed and exact placement of the fin that took the Channel Islands team quite a while gives the board more sensitivity for turns in radical sections while still holding tight so you don't feel like loosing control on the board.
· What sizes should I go for? ·
Channel Islands also adjusted the thickness and width of the board a bit. This way they could keep the same stock dims as the original CI MID. This is the reason why they recommend to surf this blade in 1" shorter than you would ride the CI MID.
